There are things you really don’t give a thought about until the time when you really need it. For instance, you won’t really think about umbrellas until it rains or when it is extremely hot. Well, how about a fire hose? I am sure you don’t really think about it until a fire is threatening to raze down your property or the property of those you know and care about.

While we may not give much thought about fire hoses until we need them, our friendly firemen would think about them if not all the time, I guess all the time. It is the very thing they will use whenever they try to prevent a fire and when there is no fire, they do make sure that those hoses are maintained well. I am sure that more than fire hoses and umbrellas, there may also be people we don’t notice much until we need them. It can be our neighbourhood policeman or our office cleaning staff. I think it is good to take notice of them; they do so much and yet we might only get to think about them when they fail to do their job. Perhaps they might appreciate a word of appreciation from our end. Well, it’s just a thought.

Have you played your guitar lately? Well, if you’re not a performing musician, your answer would be a negative. But hold it right there. Perhaps, it will widen your world to read something about guitars and music for a change. When one plays guitars professionally, there are some accessories that go with it. Yes, it’s not as simple as grabbing a guitar anywhere and getting on stage in front of a microphone.

Losing Weight is a Necessity

A really close family friend of my husband has been obsessed with losing weight lately. She said that she has already tried a lot of pills but has not seen any improvements with her weight. I remembered that my cousin has been taking healthy trim lately. The latter has told me about really good and convincing results. So I shared it to her and she asked me about the side effects of healthy trim. Since I honestly did not know any, I suggested she talk to my cousin when she returns to our home this weekend. We are having a get together and they would surely have a good time taking about losing weight.

More Comfortable with Blinds

My friend has been complaining all day since yesterday. She told me that she asked her helper to buy curtains for the windows in her office. She added that she does not like to work with direct sunlight on her face; however, since the curtains that were bought were too thin, the purpose was defeated. I suggested that she buy cordless blinds instead. That way, the sunlight will be blocked and she does not have to wash it every week. She thinks it is a good idea. I added that she buy the blinds herself so she can make sure that those are the ones she need.

Pearl is a june birthstone, but aside from pearl, there is also Alexandrite and moonstone. But I guess the most popular among the three is pearl. I do love pearls, as for me, they symbolize purity. When I look at them, I see spotlessness and clarity. They are just so precious. So if you are planning to give a gift to a woman friend who is a June celebrant, think of pearl. It can be a necklace, a pair of stunning earrings or a simple pearl bracelet. But you have to save a bit since pearls are a bit expensive and they are rare finds.

Dream Come True

I know somebody who happens to be a very frustrated musician. One time, she auditioned for a talent show and she sung “My heart will go on” by Celine Dion. After the first paragraph, they asked her to stop. When we went to a club nearby, she then played the guitar so hard that its strings cut. She became very devastated. I then advised her that if you really want something, you have to work hard for it. So, she took music lessons for a year. Slowly, she learned to play drums and is now a member of a local band. I truly admire her, and so for her birthday, I plan to give her no more than the best set of drumsticks out there, I will give her Vater Drumsticks.

While browsing Facebook, I saw this photo of a baby boy wearing a t-shirt with the text, “I am the result of Vegas.” I could not help but laugh out loud. I think funny tshirts are the new craze right now. I believe they all vary in design; some are with funny texts, with comic strips, with crazy faces, and even the popular memes. I plan on giving on as a gift to my daughter but I think I should search online for low prizes first. I am sure I would find one. And if my budget permits it, I may buy one for myself too.
